You have to have round scissors if youâre grooming
I love the low price. I love the fact that it has a quality comb and the round scissors are just a must if you are trimming your dogs hair. I think getting these three pieces for the price that I got them for was a good bargain or a reasonable price letâs put it that way and they were very sharp and they did the job nicely so I have them tucked away with her Hair Trimmer and I shall use them every single time I cut my hair.
Efficacious for my cat
My cat gets sores on his body from having FIV (feline immunodeficiency) and accompanying autoimmune syndrome. I need the hair out of the way to get ointment on his sores. The scissors here are great for that; with the little bit of asymmetry it’s easier to clip his hair while holding him. The hair is trimmed nicely and accurately, no longer blocking the bulk of the ointment in fur.My little guy is doing great and everything, we just stay on top everything quickly. I’m glad we tried the scissors out; they make it easier to take care of him. I’m positive he appreciates things getting done much more quickly with the easy access to treating the sores with ointment.I’ve no idea what I’ll do with the other items that came. They look nice and solid.
Great product for the cost!
Check out this before and after! I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this kit considering the price, but it was my first time trimming my puppy and I didnât want to spend an arm and a leg in case I sucked at it. The tools were easy to use, sharp, and got the job done!
Okay quality if you have to use them for 30 minutes every month
They do work and on a tight budget they are pretty good but what I don’t like is that with the thinning scissors; while they do work, what I don’t like is that with mine, every 2 minutes I have to tighten them as they slowly get loose and barely cut (if not tightened down) and it is annoying to do if you have to cut multiple areas with them. With the curved scissors; I do like how they are curved but I’m not sure if it is my arthritis in my hand or the scissors but every time, my hand hurts just when I use these (they do feel tight on me with or without the pink rings on it). They also have a small chip on the curved scissors near the top. I thankfully have a dremel and I have smoothed it out to where it isn’t really a problem, but where the chip is, it would cut up until it hit the chip and stop cutting and wouldn’t close.The comb is great, although I use a plastic comb because the teeth are a little bit spaced out more than I like.The case I got came damaged. I have no idea if it happened during shipping or at the manufacturer/warehouse. That happened to also be a reason I got this. The case is a gray plastic.This also came with a (leather?) fabric. I don’t fully know what the purpose of it is, unless it is to wipe off the scissors when done.Overall this is a okay set of scissors. They are okay if you just have to use them for 30 minutes every month or 2. Otherwise if you use them every day for hours, then I would suggest something else more durable.
My Shih Tzu is happy!
My Shih Tzu has a double coat of fur. Grooming is expensive, and getting her hair thinned is even more expensive. These have really been great. The thinning sheers help in these hotter days ahead. And the curved sheers help to trim her ears and fluffy tail.I highly recommend these for grooming your dog. The price is so good. Usually, you pay $20 for just one. This gives you 2, a comb, and in a nice portable case. They are really sturdy and high quality.

DIY dog grooming
Recently adopted a senior Maltese and got this set to start grooming her at home instead of stressing her out at the groomers. Curved scissors and thinning shears were sharp and easy to use and did not snag on curly fur! First time using metal comb as well and it did a great job untangling fur! Metal comb has a nice weight to it. Great quality for great price!
Nice set but fell apart way too soon
This grooming set is very nice, easy to use and seems to be made of high quality. The comb is awesome, very durable and sturdy. I love how versatile this set is, perfect size too. The scissors were very sharp, even cut myself by accident a couple times. Only issue I had was the 3rd time I went to go cut my dog’s hair, they just fell apart. The screw fell out all on its own without warning. unfortunately it fell through my porch cracks so I was unable to find it and try to put it back together. If it weren’t for that I’d easily give this 5 stars. I’m very impressed with the quality for the price it is but I’m disappointed that one of the scissors didn’t last long. Maybe it was a faulty pair. I will possibly order again and see how that goes, I’m conflicted.
